Welcome to Elizabeth Preiss Photo-Artist Website
Nourivier is a riny village in remote rural Namakwaland near the border of South Africa and Namibia. In 2006 I joined with fellow photographer Maurice Henri and business leader Michael Decter to develop a fundraising project using the sale of a collection of these photographs to raise money for this village and others like it. Over $150 thousand dollars was raised for the Stephen Lewis Foundation via this initiative to spend fighting AIDS in Africa. We have also built a pre-primary school in Nourivier and are now building libraries in this and 3 other nearby villages.
